Oh the irony! Oh the agony!

I finally located my iPod charger and juiced that baby up (I was previously dependent on my PC to feed power via the USB cable). I donned the earphones, and pressed play to ... well, to just listen to some music! I wasn't too particular what.

The iPod randomizer chose that moment to deliver "Don't You What You Got (Till It's Gone)" by Cinderella.

I think my iPod misses my PC. This sign of sentience is also quite disturbing, as it can have horrific consequences.

I'm dyin' here

No music, no podcasts, no gaming (well, I've ended up playing a lot of Halo 2 on my 360) ...

I might as well throw myself down a well right now.

This totally sucks

My PC won't start up (luckily, I have a laptop from work to check mail with). I'm not able to get the BIOS on startup, so I'm guessing it's a mobo/ processor issue. I might be able to get the manufacturer to send me a new one ... but I'm wondering whether to either:

a) Switch to an iMac ... but I'm a little hesitant over the costs of new software (eg: Office, firewall, A/V ... and consider the cost of all the PC software that I can't use anymore), and things like being able to play foreign DVDs (a Mac's DVD player is locked to the region of purchase)
b) Replace the mobo/ processor with new ones under the manufacturer's warranty
c) Put in a new mobo/ processor ... I'm pretty anxious to try out the new Intel Core 2 line

On the subject of new game consoles

It's hard not to be enthused about the Wii.
